This place is decent if I was a guy coming here to watch the game with friends and order appetizers. As I have dined in once prior and had appetizers only, I do recall it took our server 20 minutes to bring us the check and the place was half empty. The other negative is people smoke right in front of the door so every time someone opens the front door a gust of second hand smoke enters the bar and the place smells like cigarettes. Being that it’s right next to a strip club this place does cater to the male population than the female population. I do not recommend the New York Steak with shrimp. I ordered it “medium rare” and they made it “well done” and the shrimp that came with it was soaked in lemon juice so it was too tart. I don’t mind if the shrimp was cooked in a garlic sauce and I could squeeze one lemon wedge on it but this was wayyy too much lemon and it tasted like artificial lemon juice. Additionally the steak was not seasoned at all, no salt or fresh ground pepper. No seasoning at all, no butter, I mean a 10 year old could have cooked a better steak. I live close so I ordered to go and arrived there in 8 minutes so the steak wasn’t sitting out for long so the chef either didn’t read that the steak was supposed to be medium rare or just didn’t care. Either way, it’s very unlikely I’ll return. The only positive is the customer service is friendly. The negatives are the ambiance (cigarette smoke) and the chef can’t cook a steak to save his life. Next time, I’ll just order steak from Bully’s East in Mission Valley and they serve prime rib daily.

We found the bull pen on a Facebook group that showed the prime rib special and then showed one of our fiends who loves prime rib. We decided to try it one Wednesday after he drove down from Orange County. It did not disappoint! The food was amazing. Then me and my husband went on Valentine’s Day and it was just as delicious. Then last night words can not describe how much this is becoming our go to place. We celebrated my son’s 20th birthday there. I called last week to make a reservation and it was super easy. I got there about 30 mins before everyone from the party did and they gave me a few options for seating which I greatly appreciate. I mean what 20 year old wants to sit with their mom 😂 so we had the teenager table and the mom table. Both waitress were amazing I wish I could remember their names. They kept making sure the teenager table was taken care, drinks and food were coming. They checked in with me and my daugher. The food was amazing, hot and fresh and everyone was beyond happy. A lot of them never had been there. The atmosphere for a boys birthday party was spot on and the teens 16-22 years old. I hope the staff enjoyed the cake we left. We will be back again soon.

This place is such a find! Great atmosphere, incredibly friendly staff, stellar food & surprisingly good prices. Good for families or just a friend's night out. Eat in the bar area for sports nights, drinks & music or find more quiet in the large main dining room. Always had a fantastic experience here. Highly recommend the seared ahi, lemon chicken (my favorite) & the tri-tip rub - both the sandwich & the dinner are excellent. My go-to spot in San Diego.

I come here mostly for prime rib Wednesdays. It’s a very good deal for a large piece of prime rib. Baked potato would be an additional charge. The regular items are reasonably priced. They are pretty busy during every visit. There’s usually a wait if you arrive after 5pm. The waitresses were nice but I waited for a long time to get a to go box and the check every time. Be prepared to wait for a table and your check. It’s not easy to find parking and that’s one of the reasons I don’t go often. Anyways, it seems like a good place to be for some beer and watch games.
