Mike Hess Brewing - Seaport Village

My friend and I came into town for a work trip yesterday and after we checked into our hotel we decided to walk along the water. My friend was craving tacos and we found this spot on our walk. We popped in for lunch and enjoyed it so much that we brought another co-worker back that night for them to try the tacos for their dinner. We enjoyed the food, and speed of service, so much that we came back during our lunch break and ended up their again for dinner. This was definitely not the plan, because San Diego has so many options, but the flavor, cost, convenience, etc. can't be beat! We have all enjoyed our food immensely! Also, I have certain food constraints and they have been very helpful with with navigating my issues each time. The staff behind the counter knows their food and drink menu well, and are also happy to make suggestions. And when they make a suggestion I would listen to it, because they will not steer you wrong. FYI, all of their in house drafts are gluten reduced!!!! I finally got to enjoy an IPA again! If you see my pictures, the one that has 2 items cost about $11 for the food, and the image with 3 food items the cost of food was about $14.

Amazing spot for great beer and fabulous tacos. I was in town for work for 6 nights at a close by hotel and went 3 times! Spicy shrimp tacos were my favorite, but i don't think you can go wrong here. The extra salsa you get with your order were great to add some spice if that is your thing. Highly recommended!!

We stopped by Mike Hess Brewing in Seaport Village late this afternoon. We tried the Salmon Tacos and the Carne Asada Nachos, and both were really good and full of flavor. The food was great, but the views and atmosphere were even better. It’s such a cool spot to hang out, enjoy some tacos and drinks. Definitely a fun place to relax and enjoy the waterfront!

Nice spot with a great view of the water and a fun Seaport Village vibe. The food was decent — pretty much what you’d expect from a brewery‑style place — and the prices were fair. I came mainly for lunch, not drinks, and it was a solid meal overall. The tacos were good (not the best I’ve had, but they did the job), and the salsas were tasty with a nice range of spice levels. Seating is all outdoors, with a top deck and a front patio, but space is somewhat limited. It definitely gets busy because of the popular location, so there was a wait to order our food and to get a table.

Surprisingly flavorful tacos paired with tasty beer selection and an outstanding view of the bay. Don't miss it if you can get a table. Reasonable price premium products
