We did the "Mercy of the chef" tasting menu and it was excellent from start to finish! We'll definitely be back. Service and view were amazing too

​If you are looking for an exceptional meal in San Diego, NINE-TEN in La Jolla is a must-visit. The service was top-notch; our waiter was fantastic and steered us toward two amazing entrees: the jerk chicken and the cacio e pepe. Both were outstanding. For dessert, the plum upside-down cake with pistachio gelato was divine and the perfect end to the night. ​Highly recommend sitting outside! Walking through the lobby to the outdoor seating area transforms the experience. Compared to the inside bar-style vibes, the outdoor area has a great atmosphere with beautiful views overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Highly, highly recommend this spot!

Phenomenal flavors! Best cacio y pepe ever. The spring vegetable salad was delicious as well, and my husband loved the jerk chicken and sourdough bread! We shared the chocolate cake dessert — just a perfect ending. The mood was quiet and serene, nice lighting and very comfortable. Crystal, our server, was wonderful, as were the other members of the service team. We loved it and were so glad we visited!

I had an incredible experience at Nine Ten Restaurant tonight! We indulged in the tasting menu, and every dish was absolutely delicious. Our server, Jose, was fantastic—super attentive and friendly. He made sure we had everything we needed and provided great insights about each course. The whole team was on point, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back! This is a 5 star review for the management team at Nine-Ten and their host team. I think restaurants are built on culture above all else and it's easy to tell a place that truly believes in what they are doing and one that does not. Nine-Ten and their management team, Andrea and James specifically, are genuine and want every experience to be the best. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough because of how they handle themselves. The host during our visit deserves a shout out as well because she set the tone from the moment we walked in, super friendly and welcoming, gave us great recommendations for our night in La Jolla and just started the whole experience off in the right direction!
