Did a late lunch here after perusing reviews and seeing truly were dog friendly. I will skip to the end with great food, fun cocktails and fantastic service. There were 4 of us plus two dogs and the outside patio area that sits facing Mission delivered good people watching. We had some cocktails and grub, both on point but particularly the coconut shrimp and the Capri Sun! I had the breakfast tacos which were delish along with the plantain hash browns Absolutely recommend.
View on Google ↗I stopped in on a Monday around 6 PM and had no trouble finding a seat. There’s plenty of space both indoors and outside. I grabbed a spot at the bar and was greeted right away. Service was phenomenal from start to finish. I ordered the coconut shrimp and a glass of wine, and the shrimp absolutely lives up to the hype - crispy, flavorful, and done just right. The sauce was amazing! The vibe is fun and relaxed, the staff are on it, and the food delivers. Bonus points for being dog-friendly, which is always a win. I’ll definitely be back.
View on Google ↗Located just a short walk from where we were staying, this place was more than just a bar near the beach. The staff was friendly and the food was great. It can get busy but it's worth the wait. I enjoyed the Cubano, and fries covered in pork. The chips and salsa were great too, the salsa reminded me of a nice green chile salsa from home and the fries were sooo crispy I loved them. We got in on the happy hour specials and we're not disappointed. Lots of food.
View on Google ↗Didnt order too much, but at least, ordered 2 drinks and the Jerk Chicken Wings. And to our disappointment, the "Jerk" wasnt authentic, so the flavor wasnt there. And adding to the disappointment was the discovery of unplucked feathers on the wings, pretty unappetizing. Cocktails are $16 a piece, a little overpriced for the quality & location. I would suggest $12 or $13 would be more appropriate. Lastly, randomly adding 4% surcharge to the bill is just unethical to my book. I really want to like this place, but the above issues likely to stop me from returning. UPDATE (in response to the establishment reaching out): - the issue with the wings is the unappetizing "unplucked feather", i probably should have let the staffs know at that point (yet we had half the wings already) - regarding the unauthentic flavor of the wings, its just an honest comment from a Jamaican local; we had high hopes, hence the disappointment, but it is what it is, review wise, that just neutral - comment on your pricing wise, I do understand your location is worth premium; yet I was comparing your drinks' pricing vs "Fit Social" which also has location premium. They have cocktails at $13/14. - thanks for reaching out and thanks for offering of a giftcard(which we dont need), this is an honest review with pics, and hopefully this can lead to positive improvement of your establishment, good luck!
View on Google ↗My daughter and I had a fabulous time. In town visiting colleges and came across this little gem. The plantain chips were fire! The manger and our waitress gave some great advice about San Diego life! Definitely coming back! Oh and steps away from beach and beautiful sunset.
