Bacari North Park

A first for us and a delightful surprise. We will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere is very nice, the service is excellent. They have so many servers for your table, they are fast, efficient and friendly. And the best was the food!!! It was so tasty. Loved everything of Bacari!

I’ve been seeing this place trending on my timeline and I finally got to try it! My girlfriends and I came around 5:30pm. Definitely recommend making a reservation as this place fills up quickly! The decor and ambiance of this place is so cute and cozy especially with the windows inside with natural light. You already know parking in the area can be difficult, but there’s plenty available in the lot and on the street. The service and food were both amazing here!! It’s tapa style so 2-3 dishes per person are recommended to try and share. We definitely over did it with wanting to try everything, but we don’t regret it one bit haha. I’m coming back to try more items on the menu because there are sooooo many yummy options. Food review: - Some of the things we tried were: Lamb hummus, chicken wings, sea bass, Moroccan cigars, pork chop, macaroni and cheese, scallops, roasted brussel sprouts, crisp, and bread pudding for dessert. ** Everything was soooo delicious and fresh. You can’t go wrong with anything you order here!**

First time trying Bacari and honestly didn’t expect to fall in love with the whole experience this much. The moment we walked in, the vintage European-style interior, warm chandeliers, little balcony details, and cozy atmosphere made it feel like stepping into a hidden restaurant somewhere in Italy instead of San Diego. ✨ We also realized they have a really good Happy Hour — from 5–6 PM, almost everything except desserts is $2 off, including hot plates, cold plates, pizza, and drinks, which makes it such a good deal for the quality. What I loved most is that every dish comes in smaller portions, which actually made the experience even better. The two of us ordered six different dishes and were able to try so many flavors without feeling overly full. We tried the scallop medallions, lamb, sea bass, shrimp ceviche, and the Moroccan cigars — which were honestly one of my favorites. They’re filled with a rich mix of lamb and chicken, paired with their special yogurt sauce, and every bite was packed with flavor. Even the scallop medallions had beautifully layered flavors and thoughtful sauces. You can tell they really care about the details behind every plate. The service was also incredibly fast. We went on a Tuesday evening around 5:50 PM, and by the time we left around 8, the tables around us had already turned over multiple times. Upstairs and downstairs were both completely packed. Clearly people really love the atmosphere, the service, and the food here. The only small thing I would say is that because the restaurant is so popular, it can get a little noisy during peak hours, and the tables are fairly close together. But honestly, that also says a lot about how much people enjoy this place. If the noise level could be improved just a little, the whole experience would feel almost perfect. 🤍 If you love Mediterranean-style restaurants with beautiful ambiance, share plates, and thoughtful flavors, this place is definitely worth trying.

We had a fantastic time here tonight. Beautiful setting (indoors and out), and the food was delicious (highly recommend the schnitzel, the roasted corn, and for dessert, the best cake and the pistachio cream). But even with all that, what really made the night was our server, Natal. Perfect, friendly service, and great recommendations. A lovely person at a lovely restaurant. I will come back to Bacari whenever I visit San Diego again.

Our party of 2 made a reservation for a Thursday night at 5:30pm and I’m so glad we did because the place started filling up fast. As with most other establishments in North Park, give yourself enough time to look for street parking. I was able to snag a spot a few blocks away. Vibes: I loved the NOLA vibes that it gives off from the front of the building and from the balcony. The place surprisingly has plenty of space and seating available. All of downstairs is considered outdoor but covered by the patio. The upstairs tables are mostly indoors with a couple tables available on the balcony. There were many 2-4 person tables, some bar seating, and it looked like there was a larger party downstairs. Service: Shout out to Daniel and Amy for providing great service, explaining the menu well, and giving feedback/tips on how much food we should consider for our party size. Food/Drinks: For us two, we ordered 5 plates of food which was plenty and even had leftovers. We ordered -Crudo ($14.50) -Tripoline Pasta ($14) -Charred Broccoli ($13.50): wouldn’t order again -Jidori Chicken Wings ($15): 5-6 pieces -Brussel Sprouts ($15.50) If I were to choose my favorites from this selection, I’d say I enjoyed the Crudo and Brussel Sprouts the most (the crème fraiche drizzled on top was delicious). I wasn’t completely wowed but next time, I’d like to try out other plates. **Tips** -Make a reservation early -Allot extra time for parking -Consider going with a larger group
