My husband loves seafood so we came to check this spot out. Absolutely incredible views, it was breezy and so relaxing! The skyline of San Diego can be seen right from your seat! Our service was pretty slow. He enjoyed the seafood however, the lobster tail was really tough. I got the risotto which was alright.
View on Google ↗I was generous because of the views. I Hamachi crudo for appetizer and Bouillabaisse for mains. The crudo was good - hard to mess up if the fish is fresh and you add olive oil, sea salt and citrus flavors. Bouillabaisse was way overcooked - French from Marseille where the dish originated would be flabbergasted. It has to be light, not thick tomato sauce and you add the seafood at the end not to overcook it. This was seafood cooked in more Mexican/Italian style in a thick tomato sauce. On the positive it has a lot of seafood - but it is all chopped up and you can hardly tell the lobster from all the overcooked hamachi they added. Clams and mussels were good. The service was fine. As I was a walking I i don't expect the table with the prime view of the San Diego Bay. But when a spot with a view opened up at the bar and I told my waitress if I could move, she didn't seem interested or act in time for me to get that spot. She ignored my request and someone else took it. On a positive, the price for an appetizer, main and glass of wine was better than what I would pay for a similar meal in the SF Bay Area.
View on Google ↗Amazing location, beautiful views, incredible food, one of the best desserts I've ever had (Cinnamon Apple Crumb Cake), and Diana, our sever, truly brought our experience to a different level. You definitely want to go here and ask for Diana by name! You won't regret it.
View on Google ↗3.5 stars for the food, but bumping it up because everyone knows you’re really here for the views. And also because the service was excellent! It was my dad’s birthday and our server Eddie was so kind in helping us coordinate the surprise dessert and generally being very observant when my parents’ drinks were empty, clarifying questions about the dishes, etc. Food - oysters were fine, had a lot of sediment inside. Scallops were good, linguine was a bit forgettable and watery, yellowtail fish of the day was fine. The chocolate brownie dessert was great. Views are amazing! Beautiful nighttime shots of the lake and city. Prices were very reasonable coming from NYC.
View on Google ↗I was traveling and was able to enjoy a wonderful dinner at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse. The service was great, the food magnificent, and the view spectacular. The crème brûlée was quite good in particular. A nice selection of oysters and the scallops were amazing as well. I can happily recommend this restaurant fully and if back in the area will certainly visit it again.
