With the Fourth of July’s Big Bay Boom fireworks on the agenda, my family and I wanted to kick off the evening with an authentic Italian dinner in San Diego’s Little Italy. As first-time visitors to Roman Wolves, its outstanding reviews immediately caught our attention, and after reserving a table through Beli, we were seated almost immediately despite the restaurant being packed. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. Our server, Fabrício, welcomed us with genuine hospitality and made us feel like valued guests throughout the entire evening. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offered excellent recommendations, and his friendly personality elevated an already fantastic dining experience. Outstanding service deserves recognition, and Fabrício absolutely delivered. We started with the Mozzarella in Carrozza, featuring perfectly fried mozzarella served alongside a roasted heirloom tomato sauce. It was crisp on the outside, wonderfully melty inside, and tasted incredibly fresh. For our entrées, my wife ordered the Gnocchi Alla Vodka, which arrived piping hot with pillowy-soft gnocchi coated in an exceptionally creamy vodka sauce bursting with flavor. My daughter chose the Fettuccine Alfredo Di Roma and couldn’t stop talking about how light, silky, and rich it was without feeling overly heavy. I went with the Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe and added guanciale. It’s a beautifully simple dish that proves you don’t need dozens of ingredients to create something memorable. The freshly cracked pepper, savory guanciale, and Pecorino Romano combined to create bold, authentic flavors in every bite. To finish the evening, we treated ourselves to the Bombolone and Tiramisu, and were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary cannoli. Every dessert was the perfect ending to an already incredible meal. From the attentive service to the outstanding food, Roman Wolves exceeded every expectation we had. It’s the kind of restaurant that reminds you why Little Italy has become such a celebrated dining destination in San Diego. If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine, exceptional hospitality, and an experience that’s just as memorable as the food itself, Roman Wolves absolutely deserves a spot on your list. We’ll definitely be back.
View on Google ↗Absolutely wonderful experience! The food was amazing! Try the bruschetta, the Sour Dough bread with the rosemary butter was amazing. Also the whipped ricotta, try the short rib sauce pasta tossed in the cheese wheel. Excellent! Truffle fries were great also. Worth the try!!
View on Google ↗We chose this place for my celebration of ArtWalk weekend. It was Sunday night and it’s pretty busy here. We love the atmosphere, and the service is really impressive, our waiter Kyle is very friendly, patient and sweet, we liked him a lot. We ordered some drinks, wine and cocktail. We had fried calamari as appetizer, a Caesar salad and a carbonara pasta. I have to say, the carbonara pasta probably the best I’ve ever had. The calamari and Caesar salad are nice as well, I’ll recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a date night or some type of celebrations.
