One of the best (affordable) waterfront meals I’ve ever had. We asked to sit outside and ended up sitting right on the edge of the water with an insane view of the bay! Our server was very kind and helpful. We ordered the fish tacos and the poke bowl. The tacos were full of flavor with big pieces of fresh-tasting fish. Also the French fries were notably tasty. The poke bowl was perfect too. No notes! We left very full and content and enjoyed a walk on the waterfront afterwards. Side note - happy hour only applies to those seated at the bar! You can find some really good deals there. Highly recommend stopping by the Fish Market for some delicious seafood and amazing views!
View on Google ↗Had an amazing experience at The Fish Market on the San Diego waterfront. The location alone is worth the visit — sitting right on the harbor with views of the boats, the bay, and the nearby USS Midway makes it feel like a classic Southern California experience. The atmosphere was lively but still relaxing, especially around sunset. The seafood tasted incredibly fresh. The clam chowder was rich and flavorful, the grilled fish was perfectly cooked, and the cioppino was packed with seafood. Portions were generous and the menu had plenty of options whether you want sushi, oysters, or a full seafood dinner. Service was friendly and moved surprisingly fast considering how busy the restaurant gets. Prices were actually fair for a waterfront seafood restaurant in such a prime tourist area. You’re definitely paying for quality and location, but it didn’t feel overpriced compared to many other harbor restaurants. One of the best parts is how close it is to so many San Diego attractions. After dinner, it’s easy to walk along the Embarcadero, visit Seaport Village, check out the USS Midway Museum, or just enjoy the harbor views. It’s the kind of place that feels like part restaurant, part San Diego attraction itself. If you’re visiting San Diego and want great seafood with beautiful scenery and classic waterfront vibes, The Fish Market - San Diego is absolutely worth a stop.
View on Google ↗Although this is more like a tourist attraction nearby the museum, but their foods were very good, and we got live music in the evening so the atmosphere was lovely. The service is top notch and the waiters also let us know the happy hour offers. Parking is also easy, right outside of the restaurant. We will definitely come back again.
View on Google ↗Went here for my birthday weekend 2-14 and this restaurant is beautiful! Our table was overlooking the water. We could see cruising boats, people surfing, jet skiing and just enjoying the scenery. The food unfortunately very mediocre. But I would definitely go back again because of the breath taking scenery and the hospitality by the manager- didn't get her name but she was a lovely African American woman. She walked from table to table smiling and making sure everyone had everything that they needed. She put that extra classy touch to my first time experience here.
View on Google ↗This place is so good and the service is as good as any Michelin star restaurant I have been to. The location is picturesque and the staff are friendly, observant and professional. The oysters were fresh and the server brought us out salad and soup to share. I loved my seared ahi fish sandwich and my wife loved the swordfish. Although the food was excellent, we were blown away by the service. The blackberry mocktails tasted like a cocktail and it was refreshing on such a hot day. Not sure about why people complain about the price, in Sydney Australia a meal of this quality, with this view and service would be almost double...
