The Crack Shack is a nice chicken restaurant in San Diego’s Little Italy. They serve a variety of uniquely themed chicken sandwiches and salads. I visited and tried the All-American Chick sandwich with fries. The sandwich was good. It was very messy to eat as everything wanted to come out as you bite down. Oddly enough, I found myself thinking that the sandwich lacked in flavor. I think it’s the chicken patties that have an underwhelming taste. Thankfully, they do have a sauce bar where you can get a variety of sauces. I ultimately poured the BBQ sauce they have onto my sandwich to give it a nice kick. The fries were fresh, hot and crispy as they should be. They were seasoned well and enjoyed very much. For soft drinks, I saw that they have Stubborn sodas as well as Pepsi products. I ended up trying (and loving) Stubborns Agave Vanilla Cream Soda. I’ve never seen it before, but it was delightful. The staff was very nice, the restaurant was clean, and the weather was perfect for the outdoor patio. The sun being out with a slight breeze made for an enjoyable atmosphere.

I ordered 2 kids meal nuggets for for my children and a crispy chicken wrap for myself. Nothing and I mean nothing was seasoned. You know when children refuse to eat chicken nuggets it's an issue. My wrap was very large but only had maybe 1 diced tender in it. On top of that the staff kept petting the dogs and serving food at the same time. To top it off the a patron came in and gifted a staff member a FAKE Louis Vuitton neverful. The pictures don't lie!
View on Google ↗I was near convention center and in downtown San Diego and we were craving for some good fried chicken . I was googling and found this top rated place . It had about 4.6 stars and when I went there , it was crowded ! More crowd = better confidence for me about the restaurant:) The bar was good .. They had some home brewed IPAs and some bottled beers.. service was ok. Could’ve been better . It was crowded and everyone was busy with customers .. wish there were more employees in shift and making the service much better . I liked hazy IPAs . Went well with the chicken . Price wise wasn’t very expensive . Order five piece half fiery chicken .. I generally like it spicy.. the chicken was very crisp and tasted OK.. was a bit oily, and the fiery spicy flavor was like the Nashville hot chicken . Quantity was also a lot.. couldn’t finish even half of it. Thought of giving a three or 3.5., but gave it a 4 ..
View on Google ↗The service was great. The cashier was very patient and helpful. He helped us figure out what we would like to eat. The food and sauces were excellent. I really enjoyed their special, spicy thousand Island as well as the pineapple mustard. The food itself was much better than I expected. The portion size was a lot more then I was prepared for. The setting, a beautiful outdoor patio with a fire table and fun games was great and part of what drew us in.
View on Google ↗Felt my arteries clogging eating here but the taste was worth it. Delicious chicken with a good juicy but crunchy bite all the way through. Imagine canes but more flavor and crispier on the outside. Fries were somewhat mid.
