Eat here! We loved Kindred! Visited from out of town for a date night with my husband. We made reservations and were quickly seated. It was a busy night and the place was hopping. Great atmosphere and interior design—picture shabby chic meets memento mori. Darling and dark. The busy evening lended to slower and less attentive service but the delightful, delicious, creative food made up for it. We ordered numerous plates to share and loved everything! We will happily come back next time we’re in sunny San Diego. ☀️
View on Google ↗I always make it a point to stop by Kindred whenever I’m in San Diego with friends. It’s become one of our go to spots. The food is consistently exceptional, super flavorful, creative, and just overall hits every time. It’s definitely more indulgent than “health focused,” but absolutely worth it for a fun night out. If you’re planning to go during a busy time, I highly recommend making a reservation because it does get packed. The vibe is also such a standout, and there are some really cute photo ops right outside the restaurant, which makes it even more of a full experience. Overall, always a fun, reliable spot with amazing food and great energy.
View on Google ↗I am not vegan by any stretch of the imagination but impressed with everything we tried. All delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Crab cakes was the standout. Great cocktails too!
View on Google ↗Wonderful vegan diner! They have been open since 2015. Food here is exceptional. Very popular and crowded. We ordered from the weekend brunch menu which was limited but had multiple great delicious offers. Service was a bit slow but the atmosphere was outstanding. Noise level was high but acceptable. This will be on our regular visit list. Highly recommended!!
View on Google ↗The ambience is lovely here. I went here for dinner, tried chimichuri skewers and egg roll burger. Both were really good. The portion size of the burger could be improved. They should have more non alcoholic drinks, as of now its too little. They got just two desserts, should have 5-6. You can also bring your dogs here. This is a fully vegan restaurant and despite the flaws I still recommend going here.
