I stayed for nostalgia sake. When i was a child, my family stayed here many times on vacation in the 70s and 80s. It was fun to revisit the property because not much has changed. It brought back some great memeories. Although its not nessesarliy modern, its extremely well kept and clean. It was quiet and close to rhe convention I was attending. If you are looking for an inexpensive choice and a trip back in time, this is your spot. Make sure and try the waffles, five star!!!!

Great little spot that we have stayed at quite a bit. The rooms are furnished well and functional. The pool is heated so its great even when its chilly out or late. Its super easy to get to and close to all the freeways like everything on Hotel Circle. No problems parking and never had an issue with safety or anyone messing with vehicles. The Waffle Spot is great too!

We stayed here for 8 days and liked the accommodations. The Inn is conveniently located next to the I-8 freeway with my restaurants and shops nearby. They were reasonably priced and had a laundry room, microwave & ice machine room & the "Waffle Spot" restaurant. Things to consider: The rooms come standard with a television and refrigerator but no microwave. If you want a microwave, it is $5 extra per day. The parking is $15 a day, so guests need to factor this in to their overall budget. The laundry room is on a timer for entry and guests cannot use it until after 10:00 a.m. The washing machine and dryer are cards only, no cash. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We visited a family member daily at Kaiser Permanente Zion Hospital and the Kings Inn was a fairly short drive of about 12 minutes to the hospital .We would definitely stay there again.

This was the place we stayed at for our last night. We choose it for its reasonable price and proximity to the airport. The room was nice, comfortable, and I was even able to get a few hours of sleep despite needing to get up super early to head to the airport. We also took a little time to enjoy the pool. A large portion of the pool was 9ft deep and that was fun to do some canon balls into. They also have a hot tub that was comfortable as well. Overall it did what we wanted it to do by giving us some rest before a long day of journey in airports.

Stayed there for 3 nights 4 days. Place is clean and staff is super friendly. Price is affordable. We will definitely be staying here next time we are in the area. Amenities are great for the price too. I love how its been updated, but they kept the charm of the 1950s inn feel. You can hear the freeway noise, but nothing some ear plugs can't fix. Air conditioner worked great and anytime I asked for more towels or TP they were more than willing to help. This stay was so much better than our last place we stayed at in SD which was almost twice as much. Kings Inn is the way to go if you need a clean affordable place to stay in San Diego.
