Mike's Red Tacos - Point Loma

So I did some research and came across Mike's Red Tacos. The overall sentiment is this is a "must go to place". I recommended my Son to visit this place based on the research that I did. Now you must know that my Son is a "foodie" with high standards! Well after visiting Mike's Red Tacos he gave me the report: "You must go try it for yourself and you'll be loving it". The day finally arrived and my Son treated me and my Grandson to lunch. I gotta tell you it was love at first bite. I tired the quesadilla and of course the tacos. After each bite I kept saying "WOW" and each bite got better and better until sadly I came to my last bite. The food was amazing and in my humble opinion better than advertised! This place operates like a well oiled machine. Ordering your food is a snap, easy to use ordering portal as you walk in. Go grab some fabulous salsa from their awesome salsa bar which has a salsa choice for even the pickiest of eaters and your order will be completed shortly. The place is clean and appealing and the employees are GREAT and defiantly make you feel welcomed and appreciated. All in All this place is a "must go to place" and I'll promise you that your taste buds will be begging you to go back again, again and again. Thank You Mike's Red Tacos for my slice of heaven.

The Baseline: For a Mexican restaurant the flavors of the food must make use of the prime Mexican ingredients (corn, beans, chiles, rice, cheese, and meats), preparation of sauces/salsas, the meal portion size must make me feel full, and feeling of the restaurant must give me the feeling of a Mexican restaurant. Food: Had Mike’s Meal to get two delicious Birria Tacos and some solid chips and consome (5 out of 5). Tried the loaded fries which were all-right because they tasted like bag fries that had better ingredients loaded on top of them, probably should have went for the loaded nachos (3 out of 5). Also we had a cheese quesadilla (4 out of 5), which had a good melt and crisp to the tortilla. Service: Great service from the staff from ordering to delivering food. Ambiance: Good lunch spot vibes to the restaurant but still nice to have a quick dinner at. Good salsa bar that was well maintained. Clean tables with unkept seats. Clean Bathrooms with easy access.

This place is DELICIOUS. They serve quality Birria here that doesn’t disappoint. They have ONE OF THE BEST BURRITOS I’ve EVER tried. Food -Cali Burrito: This is easily a top tier burrito. The combination of Birria, guacamole, those crispy DELICIOUS well seasoned crunchy fires and the rest of the toppings make it an explosion of flavor with every bite!!! (5/5) -Salsa Bar is quality. The salsas taste fresh and complement the food. Service -No issues here. They are helpful and friendly Atmosphere -Clean and modern interior design. Cool theme. Only down side is that they only have one restroom that us one person at a time This place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. If you’re into burritos their Cali burrito is a must!

Hello! Mike’s Red Tacos was delicious! We went on a Tuesday which also happened to be Cinco de Mayo and I would like to say the service was top notch. Of course it was busy but the lady at the front was quarterbacking orders out like a true professional. Her team was composed and getting her everything she needed as well. A true team effort! The atmosphere is cool too with the street vibe and custom paint gave an authentic California street taco aesthetic. They have an outside eating area as well for the nice days you want to sit outside. Lastly but not least at all is the food! We got the Mike’s meal which comes with an extra taco on Tuesdays and it did not disappoint. Everything was good down to the (I’m assuming) in house tortilla chips, which were hot and fresh. All in all we had zero complaints and would make this a Tuesday regular! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The salsas….delicious as well! Don’t forget to grab some before your order comes out!

The food here is amazing I’ve eaten here twice the past week and I hands down love the food here 5 star! Anthony has fantastic customer service skills at the register he also does great stacking and laying the paper on the trays very ordered! The place is a bit crowded for the volume of traffic through the store and some times I struggle to self seat but they do a great job about getting the food out fast and well made!
