South Beach Bar & Grille

South Beach Bar and Grill is a must every time we’re in Ocean Beach. The happy hour is genuinely great. Half off appetizers is hard to beat. Tuesdays and Thursdays they run taco specials and honestly some of the best fish tacos we’ve ever had. Fridays bring dollar oysters, which speaks for itself. On top of all that, the views of the ocean and the sunset are unbeatable. It’s the kind of place you can pop in and out of quickly or settle in and stay a while. We always look forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

What got us in the door was their $5 for 5 carnitas tacos (needs drink purchase) and $6 for 3 baja fish street tacos. Amazing deals. We loved the birria nachos too! We super appreciated the quick service they gave us since we were in a hurry. Lovely view. Will definitely come back with friends.

Came in for some tacos and got more! We got a wahoo taco, our daughter got the kids fish and chips(which was a good portion enough for an adult), and I got the carne asada nachos( which were half off during happy hour). The food was really good, service was fast, and the waiter was super personable, friendly, and polite. Will definitely go again. Update: have been back multiple times now and the food is always good! Staff is always friendly and helpful. I really like this place. Upstairs you can even sit on the balcony and stare at the beach.

I think maybe I was here on an off day. I got the beans/rice, baja taco, and mahi mahi taco. Positives - The beans and rice and baja taco were delicious, the staff was very kind and clearly working hard, and the prices were good. Negatives - I did not enjoy the mahi mahi at all (very fishy) the place was clearly very understaffed and as a result everything was quite dirty and thebwait was long.... I'd try it again, but just cannot give anything more than 3 stars right now.

I recently dined at South Beach Bar and Grill with a breathtaking ocean view that truly lifted my spirits. The atmosphere was vibrant, making it a perfect place to relax and soak in the beauty around me. The fish and chips were a delight, with the fish crispy and flavorful, showcasing a commitment to quality. However, I was disappointed by the French fries; they seemed old and barely warm, which detracted from the meal. It left me wondering if the kitchen was cutting corners instead of striving for excellence. Even so, the stunning scenery and fantastic fish reminded me that every experience can inspire us. Let’s always aim for greatness—both in our meals and our lives! Keep pushing for the best!
