Dockside 1953

Went to Dockside 1953 yesterday 2/14/26 for the first time. Even though we had no reservation, they were able to accommodate our party of 3. I probably would have given them 4.5 or 4.8 but I took points off because yes we did not have a reservation, but we requested to be sat outside but we were denied. In addition, even though we were there for about 2 hours eating, we could see plenty of seats outside that remained unoccupied the entire time yet they wouldn't give it to us. Serving staff was great. Our server *Robert* was attentive nevertheless, mirabelle bruit was a nice crisp drink to start the dinner, the petite filet that I had was 10 out 10. The celery root soup was nice but not memorable. I would definitely come back

The food was below expectations. The quality was subpar and they were out of the Ribeye. The flat iron came out dry and seemed to have sat under the lamp for way too long. It was replaced and still not worth the $56 price tag. It was definitely overpriced. The wine selection was limited and the bottles were more expensive than expected for what was available. Josh isn’t an $80 bottle, even at a restaurant. Victor was attentive and a good server. The view was great. We ate here because we had an early flight, but it wasn’t worth $400 for two people.

Absolutely everything was delicious and well put together. Presentation was good and staff were very attentive. Views are gorgeous and chairs are comfortable. Highly recommend both indoor and outdoor seating.

Food was very disappointing. Chicken and waffles was a thin chicken breast piece burnt to a crisp and the waffles were just not that great. Fish tacos were poor quality, something you would get maybe at a gas station. Service was fine, atmosphere is beautiful, food no good. Final vote, overpriced and bad.

Food was ok here. A little salty and pricey. But you do have a nice view of the bay and it’s convenient if you’re staying at the hotel and don’t want to leave. Our server was great though.
