Had dinner here with a couple friends last weekend and it turned out to be a really nice experience. The place has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff were friendly without being over the top. Our food came out pretty quick, and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. I ordered a burger and fries, and honestly both were better than I expected. One small thing, my drink refill took a little longer than usual, but it wasn't a big deal. Overall, the service was good and the meal was enjoyable. I'd definitely come back again when I'm in the area.
View on Google ↗Wonderful bar in Kearny Mesa. Friendly staff. Good prices and welcoming atmosphere. Paid parking lot or free street parking. Outdoor seating available. Good breakfast options.
View on Google ↗Nice local pub spot to pop in and grab a beer. Nice selection of local breweries. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly bar keep. It can be a little slow to get your order in but the food comes up quickly. Beer battered fries were great.
View on Google ↗Time for a pint! Head to O’Btirns and grab a glass of your favorite beverage, with a good selection of brews and N/A as well. Indoor and patio seating available. Good place to watch your favorite teams and grab a bite. Rotating specials are featured on the board out front. The lot is quite busy as far as parking, so if it’s the weekend and you see a foot on the street snag it!
View on Google ↗We went to OBrien's to meet some friends after reading about how this place was voted the best pub in the country. Well the beer selection is good. The food was good. BUT the service was absolutely pissy. I showed up late and went straight to the bar before sitting down with friends. I made the mistake of assuming they had a full bar and ordered an old fashioned. "We have beer and wine." And her blank stare seemed to say, "jeez, does it look like there's a full bar?" When I sat down with my friends they all acknowledged that they unfortunately also had to interact with her. God forbid someone might have a question about the beer. "Do you have a.....". Bartender: "what we have.... Is right there." (points to the list on the wall which simply names the beers but doesn't make it clear what kind of beer each one is.) The bar occupancy included our party of 4 at a table, two regulars at the end of the bar, a table of two, and another table of three or four people. Most of the chairs were empty. Also on the patio, half the chairs were occupied. So when she said, "I'm trying to help other customers right now!" It was kind of dumb since there was at least one other person working the bar with her. She was not overly busy by any stretch of the imagination. When she walked by the table I was having a conversation with my friend and she tried to talk over us...I have no idea what she said because I didn't care actually what she had to say, but as she walks away she raises her voice, " ummm, do we have a problem here?" We told her that we didn't like her attitude, and we started getting attitude from one of the regulars at the end of the bar, then she said we had to leave. So we did, and we won't be back.
