Chef JUN - Point Loma

It was our first time visiting this place. We had seen nice pictures of the interior and wanted to check it out, so we tried it on Mother's Day. It was lovely! It wasn't very crowded, and it was easy to get reservations. The staff was very courteous, and the food was amazing. We tried the Avati and Fire and Fire rolls, as well as the 'Kaarage' chicken and lunch special spicy chicken. One of the good sushi places in San Diego.

Chef JUN had a very relaxed and almost lounge like atmosphere that I really dig. The sushi rolls are fantastic. I got the San Diego roll and the Hawaiian roll and couldn't be happier. The service was great and quick. Definitely a place to come back to.

Great place! I got a poke bowl with half salmon and half tuna — the portion was huge and everything was very fresh and delicious. I really liked that there wasn’t too much rice like in some other places, and the rice itself was perfectly cooked and very tasty. My son had the chicken rice dish — he loved it as well! Highly recommend, great food and great prices. Everything was amazing!

We stumbled upon this gem by complete accident, but good reviews brought us in, and they weren't wrong. Both of us were not very hungry and ordered the jun kun, but I would recommend having one person order the jun kun and one person order the jun san. Was my first time trying black sea bream and amberjack. The amberjack was very mild, but the sea bream had a good savory flavor and firm texture. Overall great experience!

What an amazing place!!!! Food is delicious and unique! Hamachi sashimi was very fresh and the rolls were amazing! Our server Aidan was super knowledgeable and very personable. He made the perfect recommendation with the house roll. Definitely will be coming back!
