Great addition to the neighborhood! Bock is a cozy, European style beer hall offering delicious European and American beers. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and they do fun events like trivia night. We tried the pretzel with beer cheese and mustard which was delicious and went great with the beers. Their whole menu looks great and I can’t wait to try more!

Bock is a great experience. Technically, you can go during Oktoberfest season, but this is the kind of German-themed beer hall that it'll pretty much feel like that all year. There just might be less märzens and festbeirs to choose on the menu. That menu, BTW? Chock full of curated domestics and imports that all scratch hard at that Bavarian beer style. Half the beers, domestic, and a good enough chunk, pretty local. The other half? Just imported stuff from breweries that have been around for 400+ years. So, nothing special there. Just beers that have literally defined certain styles and have gone way beyond standing the test of time. Plenty of German food on the menu, too. Don't you hate showing up German-themed beer bars or brewpubs, and the most German thing they have on the menu is a pretzel along with a full menu of salads, burgers, pizzas, quesidillas and other standard pub fare? Not this place. Expect schnitzel, sausages, and some 'kebab culture' food items like falafel. Service here was extremely friendly and welcoming. They also had some kind of amazing Happy Hour deal, like $4 off full liter pours. If you're the designated driver, maybe just stick with the half-liter pour, which was also Happy Hour discounted.

This place is an instant neighborhood classic! Great service and atmosphere to have a drink and meet with friends. Huge selection of rotating beers from all over. They also have a decent selection of table games and a pool table and shuffle board. The food is okay... the brats and sausages are good but the rest is just mediocre in my opinion.

Super chill German bar in the South Park neighborhood of San Diego. The interior is beautifully designed. Lots of nice little detail. Perfect lighting. Beer choice is spectacular. A cool mix of Old school European beer with California beers. The wine selection is top notch as well. The prices are about average for the area. The food came out quick and was very tasty. The service is always friendly and efficient. My only complaint is that the music has always been just a tad too loud. A great addition to a great neighborhood. Really has the local gathering place feel to it.

Great beer selection and they throw events like Krampus Nacht. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Overall a great bar to share a beer for a date night or with friends.
