Allegro Restaurant and Bar

Came here with my gal pals. We were excited to see the hype. Restaurant was nostalgic, felt like you’re in Italy. Brunch menu was lacking the variety. Few pasta choices, compared to the busy restaurants across the street. Ordered the Salmon w/asparagus & spinach which was excellent. The service was pretty non-existent, waitress didn’t know the menu and she overcharged us by $30. No bread plate either. Twice another waiter brought plates that we didn’t order. The staff seemed checked out and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. The bathroom was a disaster.

I cannot believe after living in San Diego my whole life that I had never been to this beautiful place. It has a warmth and charm that made our small family wedding so intimately beautiful! It far exceeded my expectations! Marco, our waiter and all the staff were so courteous and anything I asked for for my guess they provided without hesitation. Fabrizio the GM Was outstanding! The food was amazing! My sister-in-law is from Italy and has very high standards for Italian food, and she couldn’t say enough about how excellent and delicious the food was! We will definitely be back for future family events. We sat in the patio with all the lemons hanging on the ceiling, it was idyllic!!! Thank you so much Allegro for your warmth and hospitality! We felt like we were at a friends home!

Located in Little Italy, this gem of a place has my heart. The bolognese meat sauce was so good. So flavorful. The oysters were fresh and the dipping sauces were on point. You get a bottle of champagne and a dozen oysters for $45! The ambiance is just so perfect and the service was great as well. Wish we had this back home… great weekend brunch spot.🍋

The food is excellent We sat at the lemon garden patio Every dish is unique with fresh ingredients. The chef change the ingredients of the cheese wheel every day, our order was prepared with porcini and truffle oil We tried different deserts, teramissu is the winner, the lemon sorbet is a pleasure to the taste and eyes. If you like fresh oysters go at the happy hour, they are half price.

Excellent dining experience. The Linguine alle Vongole was absolutely delicious, with fresh, authentic flavors. A special thanks to Roberto for his exceptional service—friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive. His explanations and recommendations made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
