Fantastic experience. We went there as family of 6 and we were extremely satisfied. Salsa,Guacamole and chips were at their usual best and the main course was excellent. Drinks were good and unique to the restaurant. Authentic Mexican food and we all loved it. Would definitely visit again on first opportunity. Thanks Mr. Christian for taking care of us.

The spicy tequila ribs are a must-try! They were so delicious (just be prepared to need some napkins). The beef & chicken taquitos were the perfect addition alongside the ribs. Also, the watermelon margarita was a dangerously good drink.

There was no wait for a party of five on a weekday. There was also plenty of parking in the back. I came here because I saw molcajete on their menu. We shared four dishes, which was a good amount for the five of us! We had just a few pieces of the chile Colorado left. We cleared everything else, including two baskets of the complimentary corn tortilla chips. Molcajete $40.95 - menu says it’s shared for two. It is a good amount, and all five of us were able to try a bit of everything inside. We enjoyed the half avocado. Mariscada $28.95 - this dish stood out because it was cold and sweet. Everything else we got was hot. The shrimp was fresh. I liked the tomatoes. Chile Colorado $19.95 - this one was the least favorite of the group. We didn’t finish it. Carne asada $24.95 - this was the favorite of the group. The plate came with beans, rice, and some salad with guacamole. We wish there was more meat. The dishes came out at once, and we somehow fit them all on our table. Our server was helpful, but it was funny that he didn’t roll his r’s. Credit card accepted. Lots of seating inside

Old Town Mexican Cafe – San Diego, CA I've eaten here several times and always had a great experience. The rotisserie chicken was flavorful and cooked perfectly, the service was friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. The fresh salsas paired with the stone-ground tortilla chips were excellent and a great way to start the meal. I've also had their breakfast, which was very good, and their margaritas are some of the best in the area. Consistently good food, great service, and a fun atmosphere make this a spot worth returning to. 🍹🌮 Located in Old Town Mexican Cafe.

Amazing authentic Mexican food! This place was recommended to us by people who often holiday in San Diego and told us it was the best place to eat in the old town - it did not disappoint! The staff are so friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and amazingly fresh and flavour some. Very authentic with staff making tortillas in the window. 100% recommend!
