Great spot for authentic Mexican vibes! I had an excellent evening at this Mexican restaurant. The service was attentive and friendly from start to finish—the staff made us feel welcome and checked in regularly without being intrusive. The atmosphere is fantastic: lively yet comfortable, with live music that perfectly set the mood without overwhelming conversations. It’s a wonderful place to relax, enjoy good company, and soak in the energy. The Mexican food was very delicious overall—fresh flavors, generous portions, and clearly made with care. We tried several dishes, and most were outstanding. However, the carne asada in our mixed molcajete came out a bit burnt, which was disappointing given how tasty the rest of the dish (and the meal) was. Still, it didn’t ruin the experience, and I’d happily return to try more items. Highly recommended for a fun night out with great food, music, and service. Just maybe double-check the grill on the molcajete next time! 4/5 — would visit again. 🇲🇽🎶

What an incredible find! Casa de Reyes delivered a perfect Mexican night out from start to finish. The beautiful open-air patio with rustic wooden beams, glowing lanterns, and lively energy feels like a true escape — warm, welcoming, and packed with happy guests. Our server was dressed in stunning traditional attire and provided friendly, attentive service that made us feel right at home. The fresh, crispy chips and salsa were addictive right away. The margaritas (the blue one and the classic) were perfectly balanced, strong, and refreshing with beautiful salted rims and fresh fruit garnishes. The food absolutely shined. The tacos were loaded with flavorful grilled meats, fresh guacamole, vibrant pico de gallo, and came with perfectly seasoned Mexican rice and beans. Generous portions, bold authentic flavors, and everything cooked beautifully. Neighboring tables had sizzling fajitas and molcajetes that looked equally amazing — next time those are definitely on our list! Everything from the vibrant atmosphere to the quality of the food and drinks was spot on. Yes, there are some surcharges for larger parties, but the hospitality, entertainment, and overall experience more than justify it. This is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. Casa de Reyes is now one of our go-to spots for great Mexican food in a gorgeous setting. Perfect for date nights, family dinners, or celebrations. Highly recommend — you won’t be disappointed

Casa de Reyes was such a wonderful find! We visited on a Saturday night, and the atmosphere was absolutely incredible. The live music and band brought so much energy to the evening, and it was amazing to see people dancing and enjoying themselves. The ambiance truly makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a little piece of Mexico. The food was authentic, fresh, and full of flavor, making the entire experience even more memorable. Between the vibrant atmosphere, great music, and delicious food, this is a place I’d happily visit again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun night out with authentic Mexican cuisine!

This is not a restaurant- it is an experience. Not only the food is fantastic, the ambiance, the live music and the surrounding stores create a magical atmosphere at the heart of old town San Diego. Once you sit, you get a complimentary tortillas with yummy salsa 😋 I ordered the vegetarian enchiladas and they were fantastic with colorful variety of freshly cooked vegetables and topped with nicely melted cheese. The rice was excellent so is the star of the dish: the refried beans. And did I mention the nice spicy touch from the jalapeños 🌶 No regrets and is a highly recommended place for a vegetarian or a meat eater.

We had a good time here. I enjoyed El Gran Fuego burrito (which was not spicy to me) and my Classic Cadillac margarita. The chicken and shrimp soft shelled tacos were also enjoyed.
