My fiancée and i LOVE it here!!! The food is always incredible, all of the servers and staff we’ve had here have been so kind, attentive, and just go above and beyond. Last time we came, it was our anniversary and the staff surprised us with a free anniversary dessert! I think it was Carol and Renado who helped us last time, we left them a good Yelp review. and this time our server was so kind and attentive as well! He accidentally brought us out the wrong type of wine, so he immediately brought us the right type and let us keep the wrong one on the house. Both were delicious!! They also gave us these free photos and magnet this time. It’s just always an excellent experience with incredible customer service. And the food is the best!! My favorite pasta I’ve ever had!!
Had lunch at Garage Buona Forchetta in Coronado and loved every bite. The Marisa pizza on gluten-free crust was delicious: basil pesto, melted mozzarella, creamy ricotta, sweet roasted grape tomatoes, and toasted pine nuts for crunch. The Lasagna Bolognese was just as good, with fresh homemade pasta, a rich beef ragu, silky béchamel, and a golden parmesan top. Great food, friendly service, and a laid-back vibe. We'll definitely be back!
Garage Buona Forchetta is such a vibrant and lively spot with outstanding Italian food. My wife and I had reservations at 6:45pm on a Monday, and even though the restaurant was very busy, our table was ready right on time. Our waiter, Manuele, was knowledgeable, attentive, and made the experience even better. We started with a Limoncello Spritz and a Negroni, both expertly made. For appetizers, we had the artichoke hearts sautéed with garlic, Italian herbs, and EVOO along with the Margherita pizza — both were excellent. For dinner, my wife ordered the Bucatini Amatriciana, and the guanciale was cooked to perfection. I had the Bucatini Cacio e Pepe, which was absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality with their house-made pasta. Wonderful atmosphere, great cocktails, authentic Italian dishes, and top-notch service. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Coronado.
This restaurant is Bussin'! Which in middle schoolers speak means awesome. The pizzas were fantastic the pasta was amazing. The meatball that we got with the penne pasta was super juicy and moist. We also got the mushroom truffle Pizza that thing was fantastic it crushed it way to go 11 out of 10. The other Pizza also fantastic. The old fashioned drink that I got was really good and only $9 which is amazing in this town. The desert was the fried pizza dough with Nutella and fresh fruit, oh my God was that a hit. Everyone devoured it and it makes a complete mess with all that chocolate sweet baby Jesus. Would order again and again and again. The restaurant is awesome in general it's got a little store in the front and it has multiple garage doors that can open and let in the natural air. The service was super good and they were very nice and attentive and helpful and that place rules would go back again if I'm ever in the San Diego area of Del Coronado.
My family and I had a fantastic dinner at Garage Buona Forchetta! We had reservations, which is highly recommended. We split an appetizer of their calamari. It was cooked perfectly and tender. We also split their Sottoterra salad, and really enjoyed the freshness and goat cheese. For my entree I opted for their seafood risotto which was on their daily specials menu, and it was phenomenal. There were plenty of shrimp and mussels, and the risotto was cooked to perfection. My husband also really enjoyed his beef gnocchi dish. He truly can't stop talking about it. We took our baby in a stroller with us, and their covered patio was perfect for us. They had warming lamps out as it did get cool when the sun went down. Our waitress was also very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We'd love to return when back in town!
