Had a nice breakfast/brunch recently at Night and Day Cafe. The food was simple, classic, and exactly what we were in the mood for. The pancake was huge and had that soft, fluffy texture you want from a good diner-style meal. We also had a breakfast burrito with crispy hash browns that hit the spot, plus a plate with bacon, eggs, and hash browns that was satisfying and well cooked. The portions were definitely generous, although the prices felt very Coronado. Still, the food came out fresh and it was an easy, enjoyable brunch overall. One thing to know: on a busy day, if you’re sitting outside, be prepared to get a few stares from people waiting for a table. Not the restaurant’s fault, just part of the experience when a spot is popular. Nothing overly fancy, just good comfort food done well. Definitely a solid spot when you want a relaxed, no-fuss meal.
Night and Day Cafe never disappoints! I’ve been coming here for years, and was looking forward to going on my return to Coronado for the first time in a while. Sat at an open table outside before 9am on a weekday, but it got busy around nine. Delicious food and huge portions. Only downside was the service. One waitress was working and was overwhelmed with two tables outside and people at the counter. More servers showed up at the top of the hour, but my food came only warm and I didn’t get any coffee until after my food had arrived. Food was still delicious. Would still 100% recommend. Just maybe sit inside next time.
We had the best experience and meals. The restaurant has outdoor seating and a counter top bar inside. The staff was fantastic and the chef efficient considering he was the only one behind the counter. The food was was delicious but be aware that the portions are larger enough to share. The mimosa flight YUMMMM. Full menu from breakfast to burgers to salads. I would absolutely eat here again.
Amazing little spot in Coronado. The food was fresh, tasty, and came out quickly. Great coffee, really good breakfast options, and the staff were friendly and welcoming the whole time. The atmosphere is cozy, perfect for a morning stop or a casual lunch. Everything felt clean and well taken care of. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend to anyone visiting the area
Had a great experience at the Night & Day Cafe. Small space but sat outside under umbrella shaded tables. Ordered fairly basic food as a family (breakfast, grilled cheese, sweet potato fries, burger, etc.). Service was pretty quick. Pancakes were the highlight, as they were huge. No frills type of diner meal, but everything was very good with large portions.
