Not sure why this place has such low reviews. My husband & I loved our burritos we ordered and I'd definitely go back! Craving some Mexican food on our way home we stumbled upon this drive thru spot. I ordered a Cali surf & turf and my husband ordered a breakfast burrito. There prices are price honest and cheaper than most - and you get alot for your money! I could only make it through half of my burrito! We took our food home and it travel well. Highly recommend if your looking for casual, to go, Mexican food in OB.
Roberto’s absolutely delivered. I had the carne asada burrito with guacamole, sour cream, and cheese—and it was easily one of the best I’ve had. The carne asada was seasoned perfectly, tender, and full of flavor, and the flour tortilla was light and delicious (not heavy or doughy like some places). The burrito itself? Nearly the size of my head. No notes. The shop was clean, service was quick and friendly, and there’s a small car park which made stopping in really easy. It was busy at lunchtime with a line out the door—which is always a good sign—and it moved quickly. There’s also a salsa bar inside, and a small outdoor seating area that’s perfect for enjoying the San Diego weather. Would absolutely come back again.
Been here now a more than a few times. Food is ALWAYS on point, especially today! The carne asda fries 🤤😋👌🏼 Got the full order. We shared and filled us up with some left over. The meat had good flavor! The salsa’s are good as well! They have 4 options. I like both reds, the darker one is definitely spicy but I like spicy. The green one is also good. We also have had the rolled tacos, California burrito, bean and cheese burrito, and cheese quesadilla with eggs added. All have been good/enjoyable. Oh and the guacamole does have tomato chucks. I don’t care for the tomato but big enough to take out still. Service has been good as well. It’s been the same lady at the counter everytime we’ve come. She always has greeted us and been nice. 10 out of 10!
Really small place, but the food was dynamite! I had a tough time choosing what to have it all looked so good. Ended up with the Adobada tacos. Really good with fresh guacamole! Carne Asada fries were really good too! Would go back again for sure.
The Deluxe Breakfast burrito here is fabulous! Had it 2 mornings in a row and it hit both times! Ask them to make it chimichanga-style, if you fancy your burrito that way. I typically don't like refried beans, but their's is the best I've EVER had, so highly recommend the beans & rice.
