Great tasting ramen at Tajima Ramen near Convoy Street! We enjoyed the traditional tonkotsu ramen and the Tajima black ramen. We started with the crispy rice spicy tuna which was really tasty. Very friendly staff and quick service. Nice outdoor patio. Recommend!

I wanted to express my gratitude for the dinner you provided today. Although the overall experience was pleasant, I believe there are areas for improvement. Attention to detail in order fulfillment and fostering connections with guests are crucial in making them feel at ease. Moreover, when serving seafood or raw food, maintaining cleanliness is paramount. Unfortunately, the shrimp was not properly cleaned, and some items were served at a different time and temperature. Thank you for your service. Overall Rating: 7.5

I’ve ordered food for take out before but it’s my first time dining in. I gotta say the first experience wasn’t great. The decor was modern and I liked the bar area. We got seated in about 5 min when we arrived around 9pm. The waiter (i think he’s the manager) took our order. Another waitress brought out edamame first, and then tuna poke and tonkatsu ramen. The karaage didn’t come until mid-way through our meal. They didn’t give us utensils so we had to ask for them. We were told that they usually only give a spoon?! Now food…the tuna poke wasn’t anything special (tuna looked fresh though). We ordered two bowls of Tonkatsu ramen. They were not as salty as other ramen places but then they didn’t have much flavor either. There was a very strong yeasty taste (or a distinct flavor that I wasn’t able to identify) from egg noodles and soup. It came with a very small piece of pork (the smallest I’ve seen from a bowl of ramen). The karaage came last. Each piece was big and not enough crunchiness. The spicy mayo was delicious. We paid for the check but then later noticed that they charged more than the menu price (I didn’t even realized that at first so it’s good to pay attention to your bill). We told the manager about it and he was nice to adjust our bill. Anyway, it’s recommended to check your bill. Overall, our first dining experience wasn’t great.

The service is fast, the staff is polite, and the food is delicious and good price ! The location is really nice, indoor and outdoor seating is available, great place to bring family or friends. Haven’t tried out the other location but definitely recommend this location. The ramen is rich, flavorful, and one of best I’ve tried in San Diego, the bao bun is crispy and one of my favorite starters, can’t wait to try the rest of the menu items
