Happy hour at Quartyard
San Diego has so many happy hours. Most of them are in the same kind of setting: dim lights, a TV playing a game, and locals chillin’ in the off hours of a day. Quartyard is not that.
I went down to Quartyard for trivia night with a group of my friends. I walked in for my first time not knowing what to expect, and what I got was one of the best happy hour experiences!
The vibe
Quartyard is an outdoor spot in the heart of downtown. You get cool string lights, picnic tables, and a super laid-back feel. Doing trivia outside on a warm San Diego evening, with a cold drink in your hand, is hard to beat. We were yellin’ answers, arguing over the tiebreaker, and laughing the whole night. That’s exactly what a happy hour should feel like.

My opinion
Quartyard gets a lot right: cheap drinks, solid bites, and an outdoor space that makes you want to stay longer. Throw in trivia and it’s a great plan for a weeknight. Also great for a team outing, a first date, or just a Thursday with friends.
